DISCLAIMER: this was made in only 3 hours for the Trijam, and it's pretty boring and buggy. Don't expect anything good!

In Scribbled Nectar, you control a butterfly with your mouse. Fly over flowers to collect Nectar, which will give you XP towards your next level. You must level up within 10 seconds, otherwise you lose. At level 20, your butterfly grows and becomes faster.

How to play:

use your mouse to direct the butterfly. At any given moment, there will be 2 flowers available and the rest are rotten. Try to get the flowers before they rot. Every flower will give you XP (purple gives the lowest amount, orange the highest amount, and red is in the middle). You need to level up quickly (the theme of the jam) in order to not fail.

The whole "Franticly trying not to die" aspect helps does a nice job covering up the gameplay loop and occasional bug.

All things considered, pretty good for 3 hours!

The game isn't bad, the idea seemed very peaceful and with the music it works. I'm guessing you didn't change the background floor due to time constraints but if it were changed the game would look much better.

thanks, I was going for a "paper" aesthetic but really didn't manage to pull it off and I agree, now it just looks weird...
