Frozen Fractals

Story:

Play as a young polar bear, an uneducated kid in a society of Scholar Bears. When Nilux The Fractalic traps all the scholars and forces them to twist the fabric of the universe to create powerful fractal weapons, the young bear must venture through icy valleys, dark caves and fiery halls, into Nilux's fractal lair. Disable the Fractal Power Source and save the world!

Description:

Frozen Fractals is a linear bullet hell game where you dodge and weave through constantly changing fractal projectiles. Survive long enough in each room to move onto the next one. Chat with scholar bears and other strange creatures in your path - some will help you, some will try to stop you, and some will bore you to death with mathematical equations! Upgrade yourself with ability points and fight frightening fractalic bosses!

There are 3 game modes, 2 difficulty levels, and 4 game modifiers. You can mix and match those for different game experiences! Completing the game on the normal mode takes about 1 hour. 

Development:

Frozen Fractals was originally made during 11 days for the Linux Game Jam 2023. A few months after the jam, I decided to expand it into a full (small) commercial release! The game is now available for free!
